The Reed Cutters are here

Reed cutting on restored canal channel – Over Basin and Vineyard Hill

Two reed cutting boats have been hired by the Trust to undertake reed clearance works along the canal channel extending away from Over Basin towards Hereford.

One boat is fitted with a hydraulic boom and a cutting implement, whilst the second has a boom equipped with a large rake.

Both were launched from the Over Basin slipway, and have large rotating paddles to propel them through the water.
