With "Blue" on loan for the first few weeks of the new year, and with the kind donation of ducting from Wavin Plastics, we were able to complete the laying of the ducting as afr as the slipway. At last we were able to fill in the trench!

Also using "Blue", good progress was made excavating the mill race and creating a pond at the point where it terminates

Work has progressed steadily on the headwall for the pumping station - more re-cycled bricks

The entrance to the new car park has been landscaped... and more (broken) bricks are re-cycled for the base of a parking bay

Meanwhile back at the site, work continued laying ducting and building manholes

London WRG helped us build the brick channel linkingthe headwall with the silt trap

Here you see concrete railway sleepers being lifted into place to form a bridge for the towpath to cross the water supply channel

Work continued  with the planting of a couple of dozen mature trees in the car park and on the wharf side of the Basin

Meanwhile our Wednesday Crew have been dismantling some lock gates, donated by the Cotswold Canal, prior to shipping them to Over. Parts of these gates will be used when we rebuild Over lock.

With the help of a pump lent by Sterling Fluid Systems, we were able to test the trap and the channel with impressive results.

On 29th November, the shell of The Wharf House was officially handed over to the Trust.

The ribbon-cutting picture shows Dick Skeet, Trust Chairman; John Theakston, Swan Hill Group Chief Executive; Councillor Derek Davies and David Penny, Director of the Over Project.

After a huge amount of work, the car park becomes an important feature of the site - although there is still more work to do.
