The H&G Canal Trust                                You are here:  Restoration:  Over:  Restoration in 2004

The first Open Day of the year in March

The trip boat, Mister Maysey, was taken out of the water for the winter to enable re-painting of the hull and the fitting of new oak fenders

The willow bed is flourishing with new varieties planted to see which flourish best in Over's clay!

Twice during the year we had working parties from Marlborough Stirling working on the construction of an otter holt beside the River Leadon:

Plastic land drain is used to make two entrances

The holt will comprise three chambers made from concrete blocks

Fitting out The Wharf House has involved all sorts of tasks...

Plasterboarding the Restaurant and Visitor Centre ceilings

It may look un-dramatic, but for those who've worked on the project, the first phase of plastering - in the Visitor Centre and the Restaurant, was a major step forward

Work continued on the silt trap

With the blue bricks almost complete, the grille was fitted into place on the silt trap

A lot of work has been done around The Wharf House - laying pavior paths and planting grass and shrubs
