Aylestone Park Slipway linked to the canal
The clay bund separating the newly constructed slipway at Aylestone Park was removed on 14 February 2010, allowing the canal to flood onto the spillway ramp for the first time. More pictures....

The New Year’s Day Walk at Kymin was a great success, with over sixty visitors turning out to enjoy a welcome break in the winter weather and see the canal and surrounding area close to Yarkhill. Many thanks to all who supported and assisted this event. Click on photo to see more


Holmer Trading Estate Redevelopment Plans include for
Restoration of Canal
Planning consent for the redevelopment of Holmer Trading Estate in Hereford has been granted on appeal, and includes an undertaking for restoration of a further section of the canal.

The latest edition of the Trust’s quarterly magazine should be landing on member’s doorsteps by around 1 December 2009. As well as all the usual features from the restoration sites, this edition will include:
1  A report on the outcome of the Holmer Trading Estate Appeal in Hereford and its importance to Canal Restoration.
