The Wharf House Co. was formed in 2003 to complete and manage The Wharf House at Over Basin, near Gloucester. It was built on the site of the old lock cottage that once stood overlooking the banks of the River Severn.  The shell of the building was constructed for the Trust by Swan Hill Homes.

Inside, Trust volunteers have built the internal walls and are near to completing the entire fit-out. Much of the material used in the fit-out is recycled from the Hospital buildings that once stood near by.

 
Like H & G Sales, the aim of The Wharf House is to provide an ongoing income stream for the Trust from its restaurant, tea room and visitor centre. Seven luxury bedrooms will provide high quality  accommodation for visitors to Gloucester, Cheltenham, the Canal and surrounding area.
