A message from our Chairman - Janet Moult
Welcome to the web site of the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust. We have recently upgraded the site to reflect the exciting opportunities now facing the Trust and to show the strides we have made over the last few years.
During the time I have been Chairman I have seen canal restoration and development work progressing at Aylestone Park in Hereford, at Yarkhill, and structural work on the Ell Brook Aqueduct is nearing completion. The new Canal Basin and the Wharf House at Over, just outside Gloucester, have progressed dramatically.
We have also been able to buy Llanthony Lock and Cottages, and now own a number of ex-British Waterways heritage narrow boats.
Please join us and visit us on our sales/information stand at shows around the country. I look forward to meeting you.

More About the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust
In 2008 the Herefordshire & Gloucestershire Canal Trust/Society celebrated its
25 Years Anniversary.

To commemorate this, three new milestones were unveiled at Over, Oxenhall and Yarkhill.
The design of the milestones is based on the original milestones that once stood at regular intervals along the line of the Canal. The stones were crafted and the plaques cast by Trust volunteers.
